Expozitia "Catre Tara Soarelui Rasare"

Sibiu 2013

De organizarea acestei expozitii s-a ocupat Laura Lucia Mihalca si Alexandru Gavan, sub egida Art Out,  http://artout.ro/.

In the museum of ethnography "Franz Binder" in Sibiu, can be seen, until May 20, the exhibition "The country of the Rising Sun" which was opened Friday, April 26, 2013.
In organizing this exhibition took care Lucia Laura Mihalcea and Alexandru Gavan, under Art Out, http://artout.ro/. It is a collective exhibition of fine arts, decorative arts and origami, with the theme of journey, an invitation to an imaginary route, specific to each participating artist and why not an initiatory journey.

In this exhibition I presented two artworks"Blossoming" and "Branches". They are ranked second, from right to left, in the photo below.

In this exhibition was organized an origami workshop, under the guidance of Alexander Gavan, who enjoyed great success among children and parents. Children and students of all ages could learn to make paper flowers by origami techniques.

Iata cateva fotografii facute in expozitie.

Textile Art Exhibition 2013 can be visited between April 10 to April 19 at Horizon Gallery in Bucharest. After the exhibition of textile miniatures in March, spring comes with another surprise for me, through this exhibition. I was delighted to see some original works created by artists who always surprise me with what they do. Because I saw a lot of textile art exhibition, now I succeed in recognize them easily, by style and technique in their works.

In this exhibition were exposed tapestry works, printing on textiles and also textile collages, an elaborated patchwork with a theme and symbolism, showed by techniques specific to each artist. I liked very much works by Angela Semenescu, Ana Maria Rugescu, Daniela Frumuseanu, Marijeane Bitulescu, Zoe Vida Porumb, Clara Tudoran, Cela Neamţu or Marilena Pop.

Here are some pictures taken during the show.

Hermina Csata

I wanted very much to see an exhibition of Hermina Csata, an original artist, graduated from the University of Art and Design "Ioan Andreescu" Cluj-Napoca, a member of the Artists Union of Romania and professor of painting and drawing at the High School of Arts "Romulus Ladea" in Cluj-Napoca. I saw some of her works, presented in various exhibitions in Bucharest or Internet. But something else is to see a personal exhibition. Hermina Csata's creations fascinates me, not only by her special technique, but by their composition, theme and symbolism used, as well as very refined colors. Hermina Csata uses in her works, leather, a material that I think is hard to work. Leather pieces with different textures are combined with a personal technique and hand embroidered with silk threads to create a painting. To this she adds colors that add value. It is fascinating how the colors are combined and how embroidery harmonizes with the skin texture. Besides such a work, you can not pass regardless .... it fascinates you, calling you, looking at it not only as a picture, from a distance, but it makes you observe closely, to understand how the artist was able to do it.

Here are some pictures that I've taken in exhibition.

More photos can be found here and here.

The exhibition was hosted by the Cultural Center  for UNESCO "Nicolae Balcescu" in Bucharest, under the direction of a very hearted lady, Silvia Balas. The center is housed in a beautiful building, built in the style Brancoveanu.
Inside of this building seems to expect to be decorated with such works.

Multumesc, Hermina Csata, pentru aceasta incantare!
